Advent Family Activity Day 15

We went to a new friends house.  This friend and I connected because our families are using the same agency to adopt.  We figured out very quickly that Moses and their twin sons they are adopting were in the SAME foster home in DRC.  We have pictures and videos of the three of them together in DRC.  Get this:  this family where the boys will come home to only live 15 minutes away from us!!!  God is so good.  He has not only been so faithful and has provided before we even needed it along this journey, he has provided for my baby boy emotionally and culturally even.  He will have C-lese fosters brothers as friends in TENNESSEE!!  His buddies should be home in the next month or so and we are so excited!!

I should also point out that Moses recognized these boys in pictures!!  He pointed and said their names. He got so excited.  We all did.  It made my heart so happy.

More new friends were there that night too.  The family of the twins have a family at their children's school that grew up in DRC.  The reason she grew up there was because her parents were missionaries there and still are!  The reason they are there (besides God of course) is because his parents were there.  They moved to DRC in 1938 to be missionaries.  Needless to say, we learned a lot.  They gave much insight on the situation Moses' was in and likely what his birth mom was feeling.  They shared C-lese Christmas traditions.  They shared how far this great country has come.  They were encouraging.  They knew the words to a song Moses' foster mom was singing him in one of the videos we had been sent.  They spoke his native language to him.  He didn't seem to acknowledge it much.  It was all so interesting.  I am so thankful for them and what they are doing in my son's birth country.  You can read more about their ministry at www.labanministries.blogspot.com
