TSHIRTS ARE IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot wait to pass them all out and start posting pictures!! We were so blessed through these tshirt sales.

We ordered 146!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so excited I may have put one on at school! ;-) I also may have cried a bit!

The girls wore their tshirt "dresses" to school today! Nonie loves hers!! Sorry for the blurry picture, camera phone+wylie decided at the last minute she wanted to be in it! My girls are amazing! I don't think I could love them anymore!

On each shirt, there is a sticker that says thank you and to take a picture of yourself and send it to me or tag me on facebook! My hope is to put all of these pictures in "Fancy's" babybook. I want he or she to see all of the people that helped to bring them home!

These are the Rhinehart girls! Their mama is a teacher at my school and is helping me coach softball this year! We are going to have a ton of fun! She bought a shirt for herself and then the next night she was looking at shoes online and decided she didn't need another pair of shoes. She said she wanted to put her money to good use and bought each of her girls a shirt! Love it!!!

More Naptime Mischief

If you look closely, you can see that Nonie got her shirt off from around her head, but that's it. It is still on her arms. She slept like this for over 3 hours!!!

Documenting Yancey Life

Cute outfit for church last Sunday!

Playing with Daddy on her 1st sick day!

Cheesin for Mama!

While I was slaving away at Parent/Teacher night Nonie and Daddy were eating my dessert at home! (The really did save me some, they were just teasing me!)

Wylie wanted to sit in Mama's seat with her sister! Look who learned to wink!

Sister fun

The progression cracks me up!!!

Sick day, play date!

The girls have been a little snotty, in the literal sense. So, they stayed home several days last week. Thankfully, my friend Jill was not afraid of some snot and we had a play date. It was great fun! Our kids are really starting to enjoy each other's company.

The big kids acknowledging the camera but really wanting to watch Little Einsteins!

The little sisters playing on the picnic table. (they are a week apart.)

She was hanging around me because I was slipping her pieces of banana when noone was looking!

Watching their show!

They are growing up so fast! So, proud of both of them! Of course, Little Einsteins was still on and they had to pause lunch in order to dance :-)

Feeding the Dogs

Our newest "chore" for the girls is feeding the dogs! They love it. If they see you get their bowls or hear you mess with their food, they will coming running, yelling "I want to help!!!" Nonie has successfully been carrying the bowl full of Molly's food to her cage for a while now. Recently, Wylie has decided she wants in on the deal and she now gets to carry an empty water bowl. The last two morning we have forgotten to fill the bowl up and had to go back in. Poor Molly!!

Daddy distributing the goods!

We do this every morning! You can see the pride on their faces! I love this!!

Typically, Wylie hands Nonie her bowl and then Nonie puts it in Molly's cage...

This morning, however, Wylie got distracted watching Daddy give Millie her food and water. This stressed Nonie out, but we all survived!

The reason I go to work...

Our school had some transition in a division of our special education department. Students had to be moved to different classrooms and it put additional stress in one class. I offered to have a gym class just for them. I quickly figured out playing any game with only 4 or 5 kids was difficult and even more difficult if they didn't have an example to follow or weren't able to do it on their own. I decided to invite typical peers to come play. Now, each day 16 typical peers (8 in each period) come down and buddy up and play with my students with special needs. They named themselves the "Challengers" because each group of students challenges the other to be better. It has truly been amazing. Hardly a day goes by when I do not tear up. There is something special about a middle school student having extra patience with a friend that needs it. Or chasing the ball for the millionth time because their friend just can't quite get the hang of it.

Well, yesterday a very special young lady brought me a letter asking me to be a challenger. I. Was. Floored. It is below...

1/17/12 Homeroom: 250 Smith

Dear Coach Yancey,
I would love to work with the special education kids. I would treat them like a regular kid. they are very special, but other kids don't see it. I would put all I have into these kids. They deserve happiness. I want these kids happy everyday, not just one day. It would be an honor to help these kids. The reason I would love to do this is because they are very important kids. I would treat them with kindness, care, and respect. I will do the best of my ability to help these kids be happy 24/7. I hope you take this consideration seriously. It would mean the world to me to help these kids be the best they can be.
Sincerely,
Student

I LOVE my job!!

Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. Matthew 25:40

Lazy Saturday Afternoon

Lots of playing going on! My girls are playing FABULOUSLY together these days! It is so cute and they are so sweet to each other! God has blessed us beyond anything I could ask for!

Someone had a baby!!!!

This cutie is Maeve. She is the daughter of my best friend from college, Melanie! I got to spend some time with her on MLK day and loved being able to snuggle with a little one. She is so sweet and beautiful. I am so proud of the mommy Melanie is becoming. She is so chill and relaxed. She is confident that Maeve is going to become who God created her to be regardless of sleep schedules and bottle feedings. Love you Maeve and Melanie!!!

Love, Aunt Elizabeth

(sorry it is blurry, but I was mega proud of the smile I got out of her!)

Someone is engaged!!!

This is my best friend from high school, Robin. She is getting married and I get to be her Matron of Honor!! I am pumped! It is going to be soooo much fun and I am not sure I could be any happier for her! Plus, she is marrying her high school sweet heart-they just reconnected about a year ago. How cool is that? God knows how to write a love story!! :-) Love you Robin and am so proud of you!!

Naptime Mischief

Not cool girls...sleep!!

Big Girl Party

Nonie was invited to a birthday party for a friend from church at Pump-it-up! She would not go near the blow up contraptions at first. Then, we moved to the next room and she loved playing chase and falling down. She even did the obstacle course twice and went down the slide.

I think I was the most proud when she ate her pizza and cupcake and drank her juice box. She was so big! She even sang happy birthday to Mickey Mouse (as instructed by the bday boy)!

Happy Birthday Owen!
